To complete a groom and bath, we need a flat area of ground to park the van. Your dog will not be comfortable standing at an angle. The dimensions of the van are as follows
Go to the bathroom
Please ensure the dog(s) have pooped and peed before their groom/bath. If not, a $50 “mess" fee will be added to the cost of service.
Leash and collar your dog
A collar and leash must accompany all dogs.
Sign the service agreement
Sign the service agreement. Without signing the agreement, services cannot be performed. Policies need to be signed at least 24 hours before the appointment or it will be automatically cancelled.
Client consents that Healthy Dog Mobile Grooming Spa may take pictures of your canine, before and after grooming, and utilize them for their website, social media for any and all and/or advertising purposes at our discretion.
Do you have any branches that will block the entrance of the van to your driveway?
If yes, please let us know ahead of time.
Vaccines
All pets must have current rabies vaccinations -- even those who are only getting their nails cut. We reserve the right to decline to serve pets that are not current on vaccinations. Pets with communicable diseases will not be groomed until 10 days after their last treatment.
Tick and Flea
Your dog must be on flea and tick prevention to minimize the spread of these pests to other clients. Any dog(s) found with fleas and ticks will be returned to the owner and the normal service fees for a groom will be assessed without rendering the services. If the owner insists the dog is groomed regardless of the issue, you will be charged an additional $300 on top of your normal service fees. This is due to the deep cleaning process to mitigate the risk of spreading fleas/ticks to other clients.
Hidden medical problems can be uncovered
Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming and may require immediate medical attention. In the best interest of your pet, Client designates Healthy Dog Mobile Grooming Spa, as agent and understands that if Healthy Dog is unable to contact Client first, then Healthy Dog in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian at Clients expense.
Senior Pets and Pets With Health Issues: Grooming procedures sometimes can be stressful, especially for a senior canine or canines with health problems. Because a senior canine and canines with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these canines will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. Healthy Dog Mobile Grooming Spa will not be responsible for accident or injury to an elderly or health-compromised pet during their grooming.
Payment is due when service is rendered by check, cash, and/or credit card. A fee of 4% will be assessed on top of the service charges when using a credit/debit card.
We will arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as possible. I will give you a 2 hour range (example: between 1pm-3pm). However, I will never jeopardize the safety or well-being of our client’s pets by rushing through a groom. Nor will I put myself or others at risk by rushing to the next appointment. I will call or text and advise you of any change in my arrival time.
For the convenience of our clients, we must maximize the use of every appointment slot. We confirm all appointments by text and call. Clients who cancel fewer than 48 hours before their appointment or who are “no show” for a scheduled appointment will be charged a $75 "no show" fee and will be required to pre-pay for the next appointment in advance. We reserve the right to decline future appointments for clients who fail to keep a scheduled appointment 2 times in a calendar year without adequate prior notice. We reserve the right to not show up to a scheduled appointment if you do not reply to the appointment confirmation so as to not not incur miles and gas related expenses.
In most cases, we use water stored in the van. If your dog is extra dirty we may ask to refill the van if we have to use an excess amount of water.
Heavily matted pets require additional time to either brush out or trim. De-matting is stressful for the pet, so we will decline to de-mat pets that require more than one hour of de-matting and offer to shave the pet instead.
In addition, heavily matted pets may need to be shaved (pelted) prior to bathing. A minimum charge of $30+ will be added for additional time required to do so.
We will make every attempt to groom uncooperative pets. We reserve the right to decline a return appointment for pets whose behavior makes it unsafe for us to groom them.
For the safety of pets. Most grooming’s are done with the doors closed. My insurance does not allow people other than myself to come into the grooming van. On occasion I will groom with the door open, but absolutely no recording devices are allowed. If the client still insist on watching and recording, it would be considered a lesson and will be charged at additional $250 an hour fee.
